Refunds and cancellation
We sell licence keys for the Coldkeys applications (formerly Key Vault). They are digital: there is nothing to post back, and nothing to return.
This page explains when you can get your money back. Nothing here takes away rights you have by law.
If you have changed your mind
If you bought as a consumer, you have 14 days to cancel for any reason — you do not have to give one. The 14 days run from the day after we confirm your order.
To cancel, email support@tkjglobalmedia.com with your order number and say you are cancelling. A clear statement is enough; there is no form to complete.
We refund you in full, to the payment method you used, within 14 days of being told. There is no restocking charge and no deduction.
We will also deactivate the licence key. The right to cancel is not a right to keep the software — if you cancel, the key stops working.
The law lets a business remove this right for digital content, but only if it asks you, before supply begins, to consent to immediate delivery and to acknowledge that you are giving up the right. We do not ask you for that, so you keep the full 14 days even after your key has been delivered.
If something is wrong with what you bought
That is a different question, and the answer does not depend on the 14 days.
Digital content you buy from us must be of satisfactory quality, fit for the purpose we describe, and as we have described it. Those are your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and we cannot exclude or restrict them — no term of ours can take them away, however it is worded.
If the software does not meet that standard, you are entitled to have it repaired or replaced. If that is not possible, or we do not do it within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience to you, you are entitled to a reduction in the price, which may be the whole of it.
If our software damages a device or other digital content belonging to you, and we have not used reasonable care and skill, you may be entitled to a repair or compensation.
Email support@tkjglobalmedia.com and tell us what is happening. We will not ask you to prove anything unreasonable, and we will not refuse a refund because 14 days have passed — a faulty product is faulty whenever you find it.
If you bought for a business
The rights above are consumer rights, given by consumer law. If you bought for the purposes of a business — which will usually be the case for the Organisation Licence — they do not apply, and the licence terms govern instead.
We will still deal with genuine faults. Get in touch.
How refunds reach you
Always to the card or account you paid from. We cannot send a refund anywhere else, and we will never ask you for bank details to process one — if anyone does, it is not us.
Once we send a refund, how quickly it appears is up to your bank; it is usually a few working days. If it has not arrived within ten working days of us telling you it has been sent, contact us and we will chase it.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled it
Tell us, at support@tkjglobalmedia.com. We answer every complaint.
If we cannot resolve it between us, you can take the matter further. Consumers in the United Kingdom can get free, impartial advice from Citizens Advice (citizensadvice.org.uk, 0808 223 1133). Nothing on this page affects your right to take a claim to court.
